Huawei European Headquarters
Document Translation · Chinese ↔ German · Technical Sector
When Huawei established their European headquarters in Frankfurt, they needed a language partner capable of handling high-volume, technically complex translations across multiple departments. Over a 12-month period, we delivered more than 500,000 words of translated content with 99.7% accuracy.
The Challenge
Huawei required rapid turnaround of highly technical 5G infrastructure documentation, legal contracts, and HR materials from Chinese to German. The content included proprietary technology terms not found in standard dictionaries, and strict confidentiality was essential.
Our Solution
We assembled a dedicated team of 3 certified translators with telecom engineering backgrounds. We built a custom terminology database of 2,000+ Huawei-specific terms and implemented a two-pass review system with a native German technical editor.
The Result
All documents were delivered on or ahead of schedule. Huawei's legal team approved all contract translations without revision. The terminology database is now used across Huawei's European operations, ensuring consistency in all future communications.
Documents Translated
- 5G network infrastructure manuals (120,000 words)
- Employment contracts and HR policies (45,000 words)
- Patent application documents (80,000 words)
- Corporate training materials (95,000 words)
- Marketing brochures and website content (60,000 words)
- Technical specification sheets (100,000 words)
Technologies Used
SDL Trados Studio for translation memory management, custom terminology glossaries, secure FTP for file transfer, and AES-256 encryption for all document handling. We also provided desktop publishing (DTP) services to maintain the original InDesign formatting.
The team demonstrated exceptional understanding of our technical content. Their ability to translate complex 5G terminology accurately into German saved us months of internal review time. They are now our exclusive language partner for all European operations.
